September 30, 2010

Movies On The Fox, Thursday, September 30, 2010, 8:00 p.m. The event will begin at about 7:00 p.m. MPAA rating: PG (all ages will be admitted, but parental guidance is suggested).

One of Mel Brooks' most famous comedies, Young Frankenstein follows the follies of Dr. Frederick Frankenstein, the grandson of the infamous Viktor Frankenstein.

After years of trying to distance himself from his family's dark history, Dr. Frederick Frankenstein finds that he has inherited his grandfathers mansion and lab, and decides to go visit. Upon realizing that his grandfather's plans for reanimation just might actually work, he sets out to complete the work of his grandfather, and hilarity ensues.

Young Frankenstein was released in 1974 and features a star cast of Gene Wilder, Cloris Leachman, Terri Garr and Peter Boyle, among others. The film is in black and white in order to simulate the old horror movies from the earlier part of the century. The film runs approximately 106 minutes.

As always, Movies On The Fox are presented free of charge. Dress warmly, bring your own chairs or blankets and join us in the parking lot behind the Fox Fullerton Theatre located on the corner of Harbor Boulevard and Chapman Avenue in downtown Fullerton. Concession snack and beverage sales will be available.
